Here's some more louder than punk, rock for ya from Canada's Superconductor.
These guys made a hefty wall of noise on a few records throughout the 90s.
I posted an ep earlier, here that you need to check out.
This here is their first single and first release. Nose crackin' good.

And also continuing Live stuff Fridays....
Here's the Your Choice Live record from Steel Pole Bath Tub.
There was a bunch of these including the Melvins, Helios Creed and tons others.
Just a warning, this is one long track. Sorry, was too lazy to break the songs up.
This requires your attention and needs to be listened to all the way through anyway.
(Your Choice Live - 1993)
DL: YOUR CHOICE LIVE
Old stuff Fridays....
2 song 7" from back in the mid 90s' from Gnomes of Zurich.
I have one of their other singles up here, so here's another.
Features members of Bastards, Janitor Joe, Black Spot, and Superball '63.
And how can you go wrong with cover art like that? Get it!

Frana, from Munich, Germany, are a noise/post-hardcore band who like to play loud and speak nonsense.
2 EPS here to gather up, so its almost like getting a full albums worth.
For fans of Hawks, Jesus Lizard, Tar, old Touch and Go rock, old Amrep rock, new Amrep rock, cheap beer.
(Munich Punk / Ilversodel Cinghiale / Neat is Murder - 2015)
DL: ODDS AND ENDS

Chicago's Lardo boots out some chicago style rock for ya.
This here be their debut full length which features the original drummer from Stnnng, Jeremy Ward.
This sucker is chocked full of enough Shellac, Future to the Left, McClusky and Paper Chase ingredients to make a rip-roaring noise rock coctail.
Drink it in.

Limited to 100 cassette release while all 3 bands were on 2015 tour together.
Damn, I would've liked to see that.
4 songs total.
You should know these bands. If not, you have some homework to do.
The bandcamp link just goes to Throat. But the DL has it all.

Brutal, crushing and chaotic noise rock.
2 songs here. Sometimes that's all you need to know.
If you like Unsane, Glazed Baby, Fetish 69 then you're a friend of mine.
Also, a good chance you'll enjoy this.
(Self Abuse Records – 1994)
9 songs from Bugs and Rats outta Quincy, Massachusetts.
Spastic, over-modulated, over-amped and balls out hyperblasting, garage-y, indie noise.
Coulda been on Kill Rock Stars or Dischord records back in the day.
And go ahead and stare at that pink cover without blinking for the duration of this while you're at it.

Let's stick with another Big'n post. These guys are so damn good.
8 songs from the PRF BBQ thing back in 2010.
Plus this is Memorial Day weekend in the US.
Lots of BBQs will be happening, and people getting shit-faced. So this seems appropriate.
And, I feel like the last few Fridays have been live stuff day.
I posted a live Unsane album and a live Halo Of Flies as well.
Let's see if my pea-brain can remember to keep posting live stuff every Friday.
Happy Friday / Memorial Weekend / BBQ weekend thing. Go outside and eat and drink.
(Unofficial - 2010)
DL: BIGN BBQ
Flashback Friday. Or Old Stuff Friday is a better, non-hip name.
Ritual Device was short-lived noise-scum band from Omaha, Nebraska, with only a few releases.
This is their first 7" and first release.
Displeasing stuff for the eardrums ala Killdozer, Jesus Lizard, Drunks With Guns.
(Aural Rape Records - 1991)

This Giant Henry album smokes!
A 2013 reissue of this 1991 release basically finds us looking at a pre-Unwound post hardcore band.
This features members that were in Unwound (duh), as well as Young Ginns, Worst Case Scenario, Fitz of Depression, Replikants, and Surviaval Knife.
This basically sounds like a mix of Unwound and early Nirvana. You need this!!
(Numero Uno - 1991/2013)
DL: BIG BABY
I remember the first time I heard Elephant Rifle, I was like...who the fuck are these guys, and how can they kick so much ass. I wouldn't steer you wrong...go back and listen.
Well this is their newest, 10 song effort. Only this time I'm saying, hey...I know who the fuck these guys are...and I'm glad they're still kicking so much ass.
You will agree with me once you cheese grate your ears with this bombastic concoction.
Grungy and noisy...the way its supposed to be.
(Gentlemen Friends / Humaniterrorist - 2015)
So this band, Fossils from Denmark...had an album last year, 'Flesh Hammer' that was pretty good.
I though I had posted it. But apparently I was a miserable shit and forgot to do so. Sorry bout that.
So let's move on to this for now... The Meating is their new 7 song EP and from what I can tell they are pulling a Probot album.
Remember Probot? Dave Grohl got a bunch of badass metal bands like Sepultura, Venom, Motorhead, etc...to play with him. I thought it was a great idea and fantastic album.
This EP (a cassette release) takes a similar idea, featuring different people on vocals. Since Fossils is primarily a big and heavy, math-core sounding instrumental duo, I think it works well. Honestly I didn't recognize any of the names, but it doesn't keep me from enjoying the shit of this. You should too. And check out 'Flesh Hammer' while you're there.
(Indisciplinarian - 2015)
After that Wreck post that came back with weirdness thru mediafrier, I went back thru and noticed a few others links that were blocked as well.
I didn't realize that was happening, so hopefully I can keep the whole of the archive here at the bloggo active... and keep 'you', the fine visiting people happy!
If there was something you wanted and wasn't there, hopefully its fixed now. So go back and check.
If you notice something not working, feel free to let me know as well. Thanks.
Yay! Happy clicking and listening.

Ok let's keep the Wreck going.
This is their first full length and sounds as awesome as the other stuff I've posted.
Again...this is essential stuff!
*I'm waiting on the 'Mikey' single from a buddy. I'll post that shortly.
I don't have the 'Joe' single.
If anyone out in interwebs land has it, myself and others would enjoy that!
(Play It Again Sam - 1992)
DL: SOUL TRAIN
5 words...Unwound Peel Sessions Fuck Yeah
This was recorded for BBC DJ legend John Peel during their Challenge for a Civilized Society tour.
3 songs here: "Side Effects of Being Tired" and "Hexenszene" from New Plastic Ideas, plus "Kantina/Were, Are and Was or Is" from Fake Train.
Apparently Numero Group is releasing this on vinyl, but I don't know any other info about it.
(Peel Session - 1998)
DL: UNWOUND PEEL
First off, this is not the improv / No Wave New York UT band from the 80s.
This is a UT band that makes a noisy ruckus, are from Genoa, Italy and are from this present time period.
And the title might throw you off, cuz this is anything but noise deadening.
10 bombastic blasts that will bombard your butt with belligerence.
If you're a fan of The Shellac or The Rapeman or The New Brutalism or The Scul Hazzards, then you'll be wanting to pick this up for your noise rock pleasure.

Butcher's Waltz Volume 2 - 4-way split from Minneapolis' Learning Curve records.
Its the UK vs Minneapolis! Let's get ready to rumble!
In one corner of the ring, representing the UK... you get 2 songs from Blacklisters,
and a song from Hey Colossus.
And in the other corner, representing Minneapolis and the US, you get 1 song from Stnnng, and an 8-song, miny album of sorts from Blackthrone.
Lots of biting and low-blows totally allowed and encouraged! Prepare to fight!
(Learning Curve - 2015)
LEARNING CURVE BANDCAMP
Follow up to the Wreck post from a few days ago. Since you fine folks are so nice and all.
This 'un being their 2nd EP of 6 songs, before they recorded 2 full lengths.
And really, this EP is so great and chalked full of noisy goodness, it's practically full length quality.
Don't let the Wax Trax name fool ya either...again, no industrial stuff happening here.
Lots of Rapeman style whiplash rock for ya.
(Wax Trax - 1991)
DL: HOUSE OF BORIS
A request through the comments section.
This was an example of a good request through comments...a few days ago.
If you comment from a 6 months ago or longer, chances are I probably wont see it, and you're S.O.L.
So on with this....
Ha. I gotta say, this cover still cracks me up when I see it. Fucking brilliant.
If you didn't know who Noxagt were and you saw this cover, you might be hesitant to dip into the pool...don't blame you there.
Butt, (ha, see what I did there?) once you know how off-the-hook this experimental, instrumental noise rock band is, you'll laugh at the cover, and proceed to get your head torn off and mangled, complete with body shakes and convulsions, after having this delivered thru your ear canals.
Fans of Lightning Bolt and godheadSilo listen up!

This was actually sent my way from the band a bit ago... Thanks fellers.
Finally getting my slacker-ass around to it. Been busy. I got those BBQs to attend, TV to watch, and those pillows and blankets get lonely if you don't nap in them frequently. I love naps.
So Heads. (yes the period is supposed to be there) are from Berlin ...and this is their brand swanking new, debut 6 song EP.
Heavy on the bass... dense and thick noise rawk with dark lyrical content to make you feel ugly inside and out. Just how you love it.
If one were to slap a 'Recommended if You Like' label on this badboy, it would definitely have to mention the likes of Young Widows and Girls Against Boys. Yep.
(This Charming Man - 2015)
Not sure if that art is really TBD, or if they're pulling a Flipper / P.I.L. maneuver. This is from over a year ago, so I assume they woulda had time to update the art by now, right?
That aside, the blackness and heavyweight font does fit the mood on this earsplitting, doomy, noisy and heavy 6 song EP from UKs Field Boss.
Like a schmelding of Godflesh, Swans, Celan, Meatjack, and Neurosis.
DL: FARM DOWN

Here's a cool little EP for ya.
A Chicago band called Wreck who was around in the early 90s and featured members of Waco Brothers and Die Kreuzen.
This is their first ep, 4 songs on a label that paralleled with Wax Trax Records, releasing mostly industrial music at the time. This could have easily been on Touch and Go back and really not sure why it wasn't.
This was ridiculized by knob-twister Steve Albini, and sounds like an early Shellac/ Big Black/ New Brutalism type thing. So you know you want it. Go on. Partake in the goodness.
(Play It Again Sam - 1989)
DL: SONG X
This is Lowercases' first single from back in 90s.
2 songs (huh...just like the title) that sound like Unwound and...you know what?..that's the only band I'll compare.
You need this.
(Punk In My Vitamins - 1994)
DL: SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE A VAMPIRE
Hey its Tar!
Remember these guys?
Touch and Go and Amrep alums from back in the day.
They hung up their noise rock spurs back in the 90s, but in 2012 got back on the horse to release 2 unreleased songs...yes one is an AC/DC song.
Limited to 300 release from the 'Over and Out' sessions in '95.
How can you go wrong?
(Chunklet Industries - 2012)
DL: FEEL THIS 7
Here's one I forgot to post.
Honestly, if you're a fan of the ugliness of this blog... chances are you have this by now.
But I wouldn't be able to sleep tonite knowing that I left the new Ladder Devils out in the cold without a thumbs up. (Well ok I can pretty much sleep thru anything actually).
So this is thudding, chugging and brutal as you would expect,
but there are some different sounds on this album...almost stretching into Young Widows territory.
Must have schtuff.
(Brutal Panda - 2014)

So the description on their bandcramp page says these guys played in a million other bands, but the 2 they mentioned, including this 'un, I had never heard before.
That doesn't mean alot tho since... what the fuck do I really know?
Regardless of whatever stuffs they claim to have done in the past, lets get to the present and this. 'Cause it's really good and you'll want to plant your earballs on this.
Sent in by an internet friend 'o the blog (thanks thanks)... Austin, Texas' Mose Manual kicks all kind of butt with this 7 song release.
If you take Pissed Jeans some Hawks and some Young Widows and mixed all that together with paint varnish and formaldehyde...you'd be enjoying some not-so-feel-good music.
(Self - Released - 2013)
DL: MOSE MANUAL
If you drank a bottle of Pissed Jeans, woofed down a sixer of Brainbombs, snorted some Fang, smoked a bag Drunkdriver, and ate a brownie of Flipper...you might barf up a chunky puddle of some good-ass ugly scum rock in the vein of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UKs Foot Hair.
Anyone have a napkin? I need a new shirt.
(Box Records - 2015)
DL: FOOT HAIR
Big 'ol crunchy, gruff rock with metallic and post-hardcore parts mixed in for flavor.
From Paris comes a band called Revok!
This shit will smack you like your momma did when you first died your hair blue and got that mohawk.
If you like Baroness / Doomriders / Kowloon Walled City / 16 / Cavity type stuff, this will do ya right.
I could see this being on Hydra Head for sure if they were still doing new stuff.

Halo Of Flies Live... Their first show actually... From Chicago back in 1989.
This here be a damn fine sounding live bootleg.
12 songs and a must for any HOF fan or person with quality taste in ugly rock.
Raw shit my friends.
(Public Pop Can - 1989)
DL: FUCK THE WORLD LIVE
I realize there is a new Godflesh / Carcass Peel Session split album.
This is just the Godflesh part.
4 songs of heavy, pummeling and crushing rock that makes Godflesh...well Godflesh.
1. Tiny Tears
4. Like Rats
(Peel Session - 1989)
DL: GODFLESH PEEL
So I was sent a link to this album, and the name sounded familiar.
Turns out I had a single from these guys from back in 2009, and they sounded like Botch.
That 7" that is on their Bandcamp page and is great...check that out!
This newer full length is good too, although not as Botch-y. There is some post-hardcore moments, but they mix in some Slint sounds, some Unwound sounds and even some Isis/Dillinger Escape type ripping and tearing.
The vocals are close to screamo, but not annoying like I find with alot of screamo bands.
Just my opinion...man. Overall...worth your close to 40 min of time.

Brand new, 6 song wrecker from Artykuly Rolne from Krakow, Poland.

And can't read or pronounce any of it...
But shouldn't stop you from blasting through your ear passage tubes.

You love them. I love them.
This is an unofficial/bootleg...3 songs...from their Peel Sessions back in 1991.
There is another Peel Sessions from '91, that has 10 different songs, than this.
If anyone has it, I would love to get my greasy mits on it. Tanx.
(Power Fist Co. - 1991)
New, second sandblaster record from Toronto's Metz.
Highly anticipated no doubt.
I'm always skeptical if a band can live up to a killer first album,
but these fellers hold it up pretty damn well I'd say.
Not much else I can say, that everybody else has already. Just schnag it up if you haven't already, will ya!

Another good one sent my way from a rad friend 'o the blog. Many thanks!
Here's some rock, hefty on the big riffs for ya from a band called Tonnage outta St. Paul, MN.
Appropriate name...cuz this is a tonnage of heavyness...heh heh.
These guys were around back in the early 2000s, releasing this full length in 2007.
They have another ep called The Panzram Session, that was out before this in 2006.
But me no heard it. Maybe you have?
You like Helmet? Hawks? Deadguy? Melvins? Unsane?
Well whadda ya know. This is like parts of of all those. You should click away now.

Ok ok...I'm gonna keep this San Diego 'theme' going.
The mention of Tanner and Hot Snakes got me thinking of 'Jehu'.
Thats how the cool kids say it by the way....'Jehu'
And now you're thinking of them too...'Jehu' that is.
So here's pretty good sounding 4-song demo...from 'Jehu'

DL: DLJ DEMO
That Tanner post got me itching for some Hot Snakes.
So how about it? You guys cool with that?
Here's a 4 song EP recorded at the BBC you'll be wanting to snag on up.
So when these guys tour over seas, how many jokes are there about Snakes on Planes?
Ha! Well at least one mention right there.
(One Little Indian / Swami - 2005)
DL: HOT SNAKES PEEL
So it's really nice and warm here in Chicago now. That awful winter is finally behind us, and we can finally enjoy some sun and warmth. Reminds me of San Diego weather. So I thought I'd fling some San Diego rock in your general direction.
So this band Tanner was from there (duh). They have 2 full albums and a few singles.
Ill Gotten Gains is their first record and could be considered a classic. I would consider it.
If you're into Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes and Night Marchers, you'll wanting to pick this 'un up.
Plus it features Gar Wood who plays in both Hot Snakes and Night Marchers. So there.

This is a demo from Baltimore, MDs Auxiliary Mammals.
But damn it sounds pretty friggin' good for a demo.
This is spazzed out, crunchy, experimental head spinning, noyse rock that fits snuggly here at staticfraction...
(did I just say snuggly?) This is anything but.
Big'n meets Colossamite meets godheadSilo. Yes ok.
You want this. You need this. Go on now.
(Self-released - 2014)
DL: FROM BANDCAMP
That last 'The Men' album I posted, got me thinking about this 6-song split with Nomos.
This was originally a cassette release...which is funny cuz the label is called Vinyl Rites.
So The Men are still cranking out abrasive noisy rock at this point, before the moved to a more garage-y sound. Nomos are pretty much straight up hardcore.
Let's break some shit!!!
(Vinyl Rites - 2010)
DL: NOMOS AND THE MEN
Here's one for all you fans of Sonic Youth and Dustdevils.
Housewife is/was from Austin, Texas, and they definitely have that whirling, swirling, dissonant and melodic geetar sound. Of course this is more on the indie/post-punk side, than the balls out, rough and gruff stuff that is here about every other post. But definitely has its place here. This is their 3rd full length.
Welcome friends. Its nice here.
(Domestic Junkie - 2008)

Stickdog was an industrial tinged noise rock band from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
This was released way back in 1988.
After a quick peek at Discogs, this was apparently released on Alternative Tentacles, which I didn't know about.
Not sure what 319 Dude is all about, but I guess that should keep the AT kids from pulling this 'un down.
If you like messed-up, head melting industrial noise rock, you'll be into it.
Like a mix of Head of David, Butthole Surfers, Foetus, Pigface, Swans.
Put on your best black outfit and the heavy eyeliner and dance!
(319 Dude - 1988)
DL: FO FREE FROM BANDCAMP
This was sent my way from our pal Ralf. Thanks again.
Grey Hairs from Nottingham, UK.
They play a mix of heavy riff rock, to get-up-and-go punk, to slower experimental, to grungy driving.
There's some Hot Snakes in there. Some Tanner. Some Smile.
Its new. Its good. And its good for you too.
And c'mon...they have a song called Badmotorfingered. Can't beat that.
(Gringo Records - 2015)
DL: COLOSSAL DOWNER
This was originally an unofficial release. A bootleg if you will.
Butt (ha), they decided it needed to be available to everyone.
