BRAIN BANGER - MUNSONED EP (2010)
So I could give you the standard 'ol, "This is a 5 song EP from this 3 piece outta Louisville KY featuring members of Young Widows, Breather Resist and Black Cross." And then follow up with typical descriptions like "Powerful vocals, tight drums and heavy riffs which combine the 90's rock sound with some influences from 70's punk and metal"... Eh, descriptions, reviews, blah blah blah. right?
I'm posting it here on the blog, so its (hopefully) obviously worth the finger press and mouse click to acquire / listen / enjoy. Do you really need a whole description?
C'mon. The real no-brainer here (...ha. I didn't even plan that) is getting this is just for the Woody Harrelson reference from King Pin. You'll be munsoned if you don't add this to your collection right now.

YOUNG WIDOWS - OLD WOUNDS (2008)
Easily the best record of 2008, and probably one of the best noise rock records since the 90s. These lads from Louisville made a record that is so good its like jet skiing through ice cream in a furry pajamas til you get an full-body brain freeze. No? Just me?...So anyway, I'm not sure what happened, but in 2011 they released a record that was pretty awful. Talk about going from first to last. So, the rumor 'round town is they're back in the studio recording and all of my fingers and toes are crossed that they basically do an Old Wounds #2. Until then, listen to this. COLISEUM & YOUNG WIDOWS SPLIT (2006)
Both of these bands like doing split singles. They've done a bunch of them, which really makes it hard to organize in my 7" boxes at home. Do I file under Coliseum? Young Widows?
Bands from Louisville? Covers with red and grey?
Limited single (of course). 4 tracks total. 2 from each band. Coliseum rips through 2, short, in your face aggressive bombardments. The 2 songs from Young Widows are heavy, disjointed, noisy and dirty.
Relapse records 2006. File under badass!
