HAMMERHEAD - GLOBAL DEPRESSION (2014)
These guys really need no fancy introduction or lengthy description. They've been blowing out our eardrums out for years and continue to do so on their new EP. From Amrep to Learning Curve, so they haven't strayed far for distribution. Always a favorite and a Big Ass Grin on my face.

JOE 4 - NJEGOV SIN (2012)
So, you can tell right off the bat from the first listen, that these guys are fans of Shellac, Tar, 90s Amrep/Touch and Go type stuff. They even got Steve Albini and Bob Weston for the recording process, doing it analog and to tape. Yay analog!! Kinda funny they mention that Albini played scrabble on Facebook the whole time and probably doesn't remember what the record sounds like. He's that good I guess.
So this is the first full length from Zagreb, Croatia's Joe 4. They have a previous EP called Enola Gay which is pretty badass, and a couple of newer songs on a compilation that are all at the Bandcamp link below. So click around and explore. You'll be glad you did.

YOUNG WIDOWS / PLOWS SPLIT 7" (2007)
Ah what the Hell..since I just mentioned it and had it handy.
Here's that killer Young Widows / Plows split single. Now don't say I never give you anything.

PLOWS - THOSE PEOPLE (2007)
(By request)
Weird. I had be meaning to post this and was just thinking about it, when whadda ya know, it gets requested. Happy to do so.
Formed in Louisville, KY, Plows fuse the sonic discord of Nation of Ulysses with the rhythmic dirge of Shellac. Guitarist/vocalist David Brooks and drummer/vocalist Aaron Osbourne have made the familiar Dischord Records sound their own, applying a heavy blanket of detuned guitar and creating a crashing and percussive sound that is simultaneously thick and jangly. Plows released a split 7" with Young Widows, a split 7" with Prideswallower (which I just discovered and need to find), this full-length debut, and another full length made up of demos called I Hate My Car and I Want To Drive. Enjoy!

GRIZZLOR - WHEN YOU DIE (2014)
(Band submission)
So I posted these guys before here. This is their new EP of epic proportions. 4 ditty's of heavy, sludgy noise that definitely sits these guys comfortably at a dinner party with newer noise like Hawks, Blacklisters, and Whores. The artwork kicks ass too. So do yourself a favor and snag this up faster than a gigantic hungry alien slug monster sucking down human flesh and meat for a midnight scarfing after binge drinking all night.

BULL - GORDON ZONE (1993)
So this here band Bull, from Chicago, has a single before this (which I should probably post as well) and featured members of Big Black, Shiny Beast and The Hedonists.
This doesn't have all the same players and moving parts as that single, but its pretty close, and is still a fucking badass mini record.
If you like Glazed Baby, Distorted Pony, Big Black, Jesus Lizard, 90s noise rock, etc. and have good taste in shoes and booze, then you will dig this.
Go ahead. Click away now down below. Your welcome.

BURLAP - DEMO (2014)
Here's a quicky. 4 song good goddamn sounding demo from Burlap out of Sydney, Austrailia.
The first 3 songs are shorter, dirgy and scuzzy trudges, reminding me of 2 other bands from Melbourne, Austrailia...Sewers and Gentlemen. Heave some Pissed Jeans on the fire and you're cookin'. The last song is a longer jam, starting off with an experimental and psychotic drone before finally building to a rockin' hip-shaker at the end. Yeah! Do it!

BIG UPS - EIGHTEEN HOURS OF STATIC (2014)
The Big Ups from New York, NY play an indie/noise brand of rock that shows up drunk at the party and can be seen mingling with the likes of Slint, Big'n, Metz, Bitch Magnet, Rodan...get what I'm saying?
Overall the songs tear through angular and crunchy noise rock assaults, but the Big guys aren't afraid to slow it down at times to mix in some indie / mathy compositional components. There is definitely more than background static happening throughout these 11 tracks. Get ready to have your party crashed and then turn out better.

LECHUGUILLAS - JUST ME AND MY DAD (2014)
6 song banger from dudes strait outta Austin. Imagine a pack of oil soaked rats squealing together as they jerkingly creep towards you. You are paralyzed, laying on the floor, and you look delicious. -Lechuguillas

EX NUNS - DEATH TRIANGLE (2014)
3 piece from Minneapolis delivers a 4 song EP of the noise rock nature. I posted an earlier release here, so they are no strangers to these parts. Big guitars, loud drums and aggro vocals. We like them and you should too.
You like cassettes? They have 'em. Scoop 'em up at the link below.
