Here's a band that I've had in the queue ready to post, but keeps getting pushed back. So here ya go.
Pecola was a Toronto based math rock assemblage, existing in the mid 90s.
They play a sort of noisier, aggressive and chaotic style of math rock, spiraling out of control like a bad night out boozing after losing your job and relationship. But at the last minute, grasp the joystick to level 'er out and regain control of the anarchy. 5 songs here on this EP. Good shit. Pick it up in the aisle with your calculators, rulers and other manipulatives.
