Here's a brand new, 6 song EP from Brooklyn, NYs Think Tank. Well its an EP only in the sense of the short amount of songs. But each song gets lengthy...as in 5, 6 and 8 minute lengthy.
So this shit is pretty great! The songs remind me of early 90s dark/noise/sludge/experimental/punk. Like a mix of early Neurosis (vocals expecially), early Buzzov-en, early eyehategod, early Today is the Day, Grinch. They sometimes dip into Isis/Baroness territory at times too. You know, noisy...but then sometimes dips down to squeeze a bit of your soul and to creep things out. But this doesn't get crushingly heavy like how some of those bands ended up. But I could see these guys going that direction eventually. Most excellent shit.
