The first and only full album by legendary Chicago noise rock band SHORTY, who broke up in 1994, with two of the members (Al Johnson & Mark Shippy) then forming U.S. Maple. 10 killer tracks, recorded by Steve Albini, Gasoline Boost Records 1993. Undoubtedly one of the best noise rock albums ever!

Songs here are Sieve on the A-side with Shannon Selberg on vocals (in a "semi/sort of" Cows reunion.) & Zombie (Mecht Mensch) on the B-side. Cover art by HAZE XXL & Kevin Rutmanis. 200 were pressed in the standard version with red vinyl & brown stock sleeve with hand stamped edition # on back.

Blown out and over amplified distortion. Mix of noise and hardcore on the slower side. This will destroy your speakers and ear drums pretty quickly. But in a good way. If there's a good way to destroy your ear drums anyway. For fans of Drunkdriver. Fan Death Records 2010.

Diggin' through the ditches, burning through the witches, eatin' pizza, taco-ing our riffs, having one dude named rob, riding in vanne frank, drinking bourbon, getting electrocuted, lovin' america, having a baby, poking smot, and slamming in the back of our dragula. Fuck yeah!

I'm a big fan of these guys. Grungy, dirgy and noisy punk rock to annoy your neighbors with. From the bowels of St. Louis, MO. Black Flag meets Drunks With Guns. The Static and Self-titled 7" EPs were limited but can be downloaded from their Bandcamp page. The Shaved Women record was originally a limited 12" on Rotted Tooth Recordings and features a Die Kreuzen cover. Not sure why only 4 songs are on the site.

Don't let the cover that could hang on the wall of your teenage sisters room fool you. This is no girly happy shit. Aggressive and pounding. Blown out bass noise and superfuzzy vocals.
Self released 7" 2008. Only 300 pressed I believe. They did a limited 2009 repress with plain white sleeves.

Angry, chaotic, and crunchy Chicago noise rock trio.
They did one album (that I know of) and a handful of singles.
Horsedoctor / I'm Okay with Me 7" on Skin Graft Records (1993) This one came with a comic book.
Torture / Lode 7" on Bovine Records (1993)

Fall of Because (named after a Killing Joke song) was Justin Broadrick's band before Godflesh. If you're into Broadrick and his projects like Jesu and Godflesh, you'll like this. 8o's industrial style, guitar laden, electronic rock.

How could I have a noise-rock blog and not post the Cows. They were one of the most dominating, distrorted, dirty, drunken noise bands in the 80s and 90s, and one of the best AmRep bands ever. 2 must have singles.
Cow Island 7" (1994 - Amphetamine Reptile)
Tour only single. Purple vinyl.
Side A: From the new LP "Orphan's Tragedy"
Side B: Not from the new LP "Orphan's Tragedy"
DL: COW ISLAND
Slap Back 7" (1990 - Amphetamine Reptile)
Some on red vinyl.

Noise from Baltimore. Lots of chunky bass and guitar feedback. Think Drunks With Guns, Slug, Brainbombs. Maybe some Jesus Lizard.

PYGMY SHREWS - LIVE AT SHEA STADIUM
Well I mentioned Pygmy Shrews...Gotta post 'em. Here's a song from their last record. Sadly they've broken up since then. Also some live shit which has great sound quality.
