Been on a Peel Sessions kick lately.
Why? Because these little different recordings are fucking cool. Let's keep 'em going.

This is the 4 song session that Big Black did back in 1987. The sound quality isn't great, but isn't piss poor either.

Features Steve Albini 'Throbbing muscle of love guitar and cat being run over vocals'.

Nobody needs an explanation for who the hell Big Black is. And if you do, just nod and pretend you know them. You don't wanna be embarrassed.

This is for those of you who have had this 7" in their collection for 20+ years and now because of technology, need a digital version and you're too lazy to digitize it.
Don't worry, I get ya. I know what lazy is about. I'm good at it too.

I recently just discovered the term Throw Back Thursday, or TBT. (I'm so out of touch with the kids lingo and social media these days. Ha). So I don't need a Thursday to post throwback bands, but this just happens to be working out this way. Score for you guys.
So this here noise blog and all the bands on it, are fundamentally influenced by Steve Albini and Big Black, whether they realize it or not. Big Black generated a lot of controversy due to their lyrics and album art imagery, and were also known for their DIY way of thinking against major labels and typical rock star stuff. This is classic stuff boys and girls. One of the pioneers of noise-rock. Now get to your homework.
