Seattle, WA's Health Problems are no strangers to staticfraction.
Featured an early demo way back here.
They continue bulldozing right along with bombastic, thudding noise in the vein of Pissed Jeans, Hawks and Flipper. Right in the vein!

Like a morbid plate of hot grits covered in zombie blood, Wailin Storms are from North Carolina.
Like a mix of Young Widows, Murder City Devils, Danzig and TSOL. Get dark and noisy!

Brand new, 2nd album from USA Nails. 11 aggressive, raw, angry, punch to the chops, rock songs.
Its a grittier and catchier racket from previous releases, but still plenty pissed off.
Like a mix of Pissed Jeans, Future of the Left and Wire.

I realize this comp has been around on other blogs and such.
But fuck it! It's a killer compilation that continues to have the need to be played over and over.
Plus I was just reading about a book that came out about the club called "It All Dies Anyway: L.A. Jabberjaw, and the End of an Era" and it got me in the mood to hear this again.
So I'm sharing it cuz now you're thinking about it too. You're welcome.
Read this too.

Album number 2 of crazed-psychedelic-freek-noise-guerilla-warfare from Destruction Unit.

Its Todd doing a killer version of Karp's Forget the Minions. And Fuck its good!
There's 2 other songs on this tour only 7" version, which was limited to 500 copies on "insanely thick" blue vinyl, that kick all kinds of ass too. You need this. Trust me.

Les Spritz are from Messina, Italy...
They play a loud, chaotic and frantic style of instrumental pandemonium rock.
Similar to Dead, godheadSilo, and Lightning Bolt.
Like chewing on tin foil, while laying in a bathtub filled with water and toaster ovens and having an electric eel wrapped around you. Gaa-zaaap!
(Kaka Kids - 2015)

Mathy, noise rock from San Fran's A Minor Forest.
7 songs. One clocks in over 18 minutes.
Kinda Slint-y. Kinda June of 44-y. Kinda Jehu-y. Kinda Don Caballero-y.
C'mon, its 90s rock! So you know its good.

I've seen this floating around on other blogs. Its a great record. Not sure why I didn't have it here before.
Anyway, Steve Albini engineered this record. Cool enough.
But I wanted to point out that Albini was on Marc Maron's WTF podcast recently.
And in the conversation, he mentioned this being one of his personal biggest records. Because
apparently one of the members had cancer, and decided to record this album with the remaining time he had left to live. Powerful shit right?
Its a good interview...I suggest checking it out on the WTF site/app. And listening to the whole story.
It made me go back and listen to this album with a different perspective.

I could swear I posted this a while back. It recently came across my desk, and I was like, oh yeah that's on the blog. But when I looked, it wasn't there. Damnit!
So here it is for reals!
Erupting from Brooklyn’s guts like a cultural vomiting fit, bbigpigg’s ferocious SEWER-PUNK sound leaves audiences with ringing ears and the best kind of bad taste in their mouths. Mixing “noise” and “rock” in equal measure, bbigpigg’s blunt, pulverizing knuckledusters crossbreed The Jesus Lizard’s airtight rhythm section with Arab on Radar’s haywire guitar-work, invoking an ugly, groove-heavy commotion far catchier than it has any right to be.

Brand new shit from Blacklisters! Goddamn these guys are the cats pajamas!!!
10 songs of pure pummeling and crunching noise rock that takes everything you love about old Amrep bands, and smashes it with some Jesus Lizard, Hawks and Throat.
OOOOF! Heavy thud action that you neeeed! Get on it!

Just discovered these guys and gawd-dayam they're goooood!!
A duo from Atlanta, GA that are loud, disruptive, chaotic, exploding!
Mash The Bronx, Nirvana and Shellac into an insane little noise punk package of pow!
Honestly, I don't know how big these guys are.
Generally I try to stick with the smaller unknowns 'round these parts...
so I apologize if these guys are huge Hasselhoffs in some parts 'round the globe and I'm unaware.
But this shit's the bombastic bomb-o-rama, and fit here just aok!

Unsane sounding shit from Vandal X, who obviously got their name from the Unsane song.

You fucking love this stuff... as do I.
Casus Belli features Anthony Martin, who was in Bastards, and also worked with Chokebore.
This is just the heavy, ugly, noisy thud that you expected from Amrep in the mid-90s.
This be their only full length. Get ready to get your head schmacked!!
(Amrep - 1994)
2-piece from NY. One part Lightening Bolt, one part Nomeansno, and one part Bastard Noise, Twin Lords play a punishing mix of swirling, melodic, progressive, heavy-as-hell metal rooted in insane bass riffs and blast-off drumming.

I'll admit, the cover art misleads. No, this is NOT a ska album, as much as it looks like it.
You should know by now that I wouldn't do that to you guys.
This is a noise/indie influenced rocking band from Amsterdam that has been kicking around for 20 years! Wow! Maybe they were called Going Bald back then. (Heh heh).
Anyway, they play a buzzsaw style of rock with influences pulled from the Albini Instruction manual. Throw in some Sebadoh, Truman's Water, and Big'n, and this should slap your face into a rubbery, stretchy, pliable putty.

This is Andy Newman's post-Glazed Baby project.
It's noisy like Glazed Baby, but has some bluesy aspects swirling within.

Impossibly dangerous and hardcore as shit, a thundering concoction of 90s influences...industrialized elements of Fudge Tunnel and Godflesh meet a sordid death metal edge meshing Sepultura and Exit-13, all while a throbbing Big Black style of punk gets a scuzzy sci-fi kick in the nuts that harkens The Locust. It's beyond aggressive, it's as unruly as a pet store on fire, and like Warchild from 'Point Break," it's here to fuck you up.

Richmond, VA's powerhouse dudesquad THE CATALYST.
These guys are light-years ahead of their time simply in "coolness" alone, but it doesn't hurt that their band fucking RULES. They're kind of like KARP if they were still around to tour with PG.99 and BOTCH, or NIRVANA if they'd been more into JIMI HENDRIX than THE MELVINS.
But these comparisons fail to do THE CATALYST the justice they deserve... simply put, this shit fucking sheds and these are only DEMOS.

The old expression "like a ton of bricks" doesn't even come close here. The weight of a mountain is what DIAL drops on you with their absolutely crushing 5-song debut EP. The austere New Zealand outfit originally self-released this as a demo, but the material contained within is leaps and bounds beyond what most bands accomplish even at their best. DIAL successfully channels the darkest corners of the AmRep catalog, the raw ferocity of classic hardcore, offtime kilter of math-rock, and the whole concept that music can actually be dangerous.

Hey look! A new post. Ha. Jeez. I know its been quiet 'round these parts.
So lemme make it up with something truly awesome.
Seriously heavy, noisy and pummeling noise rock from Sleiveen Hostess out of Finland.
These guys are probably the neighbors of Throat I could guess...drinking the same booze
and eating the same funny looking shrubbery behind the garage.
So yeah, take... Throat, Unsane, Blacklisters, KEN mode and mash it up for this ugly concoction.

Damn. I can never spell Australia. I spell it wrong every time there's a band from there.
So...Worm Crown are from...Australia. (Ha! Nailed it!)
A 3 piece who crank out a fuzzed out and and raunchy brand of noise rock.
Like a blend of Pissed Jeans, Dustdevils, Brainiac and U-men.
This outta get your arse shakin’ with overly spastic moves like being struck by lighting 3 times straight while laying in a kiddy pool of water.(Self-released - 2015)

90s bands had all the cool names. Seriously, if you had no idea about this band, you would have your curiosity peaked right? Maybe not the best album title though, but thats ok. That happened in the 90s as well.
So, these guys started out in the crusty punk band Crucifix. Weird.
This is the heavier, less-punk, noisier project that came afterwards.
They did 3 thick albums and a burning pile of singles. This is their first full headsmacker.
Part Cop Shoot Cop. Part God Bullies. Park Season To Risk. Part Killdozer. Blast it!
