TODAY IS THE DAY - WILLPOWER (1994)

So I'll admit, I'm not super into the newer Today Is The Day stuff.
I know alot of you will probably disagree. And that's ok.
We're all allowed to our own tastes and opinions....So leave yours to your damn self. (Haha..just kidding).

But this early stuff is fucking incredibly insane. Harsh, noisy, brutal.
Steve Austin and Co. were the shit.
This schtuff is definitely filed under the 'Essential' card. Duh.

Anyone see that new Amrep documentary? The story about Steve Austin getting his eyes cooked...fuckin crazy.

CLUSTERFUCK '94 COMP (1994)

So this really needs no description, but needs to be here on the blog as a classic'.
What?!? ...a classic?... Really? That's what we're calling this stuff already? I mean it's no Van Halen Fair Warning, but it still kicks as much ass. Just in a different ass-kicking kinda way.

So back in the day, Amrep would send out bands to different countries together. They would tour together for a while, and it was a big deal. They did it with Helmet, Surgery, God Bullies, and Tar. Then this one with Guzzard, Today is the Day, and Chokebore. It was cool to see a bunch of killer bands at one gig. Plus you'd get a cool poster and other schwag.
So during the process of planning these 'bundle-tours' (I just made that up...I think), Amrep released these limited comps of the bands and a handful of songs to go with the tour. There were 7"s that had a few songs. A 10" which had a couple more. And a CD which had 'em all. This is one that happened back in...you guessed it...1994. So now lets go relive some glory days with this bad-boy. And I'm gonna throw on some Van Halen right after this.
