DEAD RIDER - CHILLS ON GLASS (2014)

So after the split with Poino, then posted their new release, only fair to do the same with Dead Rider.

Damaged, and abstract art noise rock, this sucker gets under your skin and into your brain mass. Todd Rittmann, former guitarist of U.S. Maple gives us a deconstructed, twisted and chaotically complex recording. Sometimes electronic, sometimes disjointed jazz, sometime noisy surrealism, hard to get through at times, but instantly summons you back in like a bad drug fix to finish what you've started.

POINO - BON ICK VOYEUR (2014)

More from Poino since I just posted their split with Dead Rider. This is their latest full length and is a little different than previous stuff. Its more on the indie/math side, and less on the driving noisy side. More injections of experimental jazz structures seem to indicate influences of late night drinking with Dead Rider. Good company.

POINO / DEAD RIDER SPLIT (2011)

8 song split thingy from Poino and Dead Rider. D. Rider or Dead Rider features members of US Maple, Brise-Glase, Cheer Accident and more and is on the experimental, chaotic and deconstructed side. What you would expect.
Poino features Gaverick de Vis, formerly of Giddy Motors, and is more rock on the ugly noise side, ala, Shorty, Pissed Jeans or Jesus Lizard.

KILLDOZER - THE PIG WAS COOL 7" (1993)

I should probably just do a big Killdozer post, and get the rest of their stuff up here.
In the meantime, here's a 2 song single with their fantastic version of Unbelievable.
You know the song...you love it.
(Touch and Go - 1993)

KILLDOZER - LITTLE BABY BUNTIN' (1987)

So I was listening to this in the car, and thought, hmm this needs to be up on staticfraction for others to enjoy in their cars as well. Also good on airplanes, tractors, big wheels, roller coasters, soapbox derby cars, unicycles... So that takes care of that right?
Also, I went back to see what else I had posted by Killdudes, and noticed the Snakeboy link was dead. So that's fixed as well. Thanks for the mention in comment, and sorry took a bit to notice.

SURROGAT - UNRUHIG (1994)

Super badass noise rawk from Germany. Founded in Berlin. Don't really know much about 'em, except that they tear it up. They have a few newer records than this as well that I'm trying to track down. Definitely recommended if you dig, Glazed Baby, Steel Pole Bath Tub, Shellac, Jesus Lizard, Shorty, Distorted Pony. Also, I'm trying a new host for DLs. Lemme know if something doesn't work.

THE COLTRANES - MAN WITH THE HAT (2013)

Some oldies but goodies the last couple posts...but lets get some newer noise heading yer direction. Well, new as in newer than the 90s. This is about a year old, but still a good 'un for your collection.
The Coltranes, from Temecula, California, make a pretty good ruckus of menacing and belligerent muck that kicks you right in your sweet spot.
This 7 song release is heavy, unnerving, intense and chaotic but undeniably catchy.
Like 7 bug zaps to the tongue.

RAPEMAN - INKI'S BUTT CRACK EP (1989)

OK. Let's see how long this lasts before getting yanked down. Grab it now quick kids!

You should know this by now, but just in case...Rapeman was Steve Albini's short-lived project between Big Black and Shellac. And the 2 songs on this rare 7" are pretty hard to come by.
This was also, back when Sub Pop was more consistent on their "sound" of releases.

OIL SEED RAPE - PAID EP (1992)

Kickass 90s noise rock from the U.K. Oil Seed Rape was abrasive and raw and draw comparisons to Butthole Surfers, the Jesus Lizard, Swans, and especially Big Black. Crunchy and thick like a bowl of Cap'n Crunch poured over 1 month old milk.
(Jackass - 1992)

SPACE DRUGS - SPIT IT OUT (2013)

5 song EP from these crazies from Waterford, New Jersey. Blown-out, and fuzzed-out, with hints of garage-punk mixed with indie with a think layer of noise punk swirled on top. Definitely nodding back to the 90s.
A lil Season to Risk. A lil Unwound. Some VSS. Some Jay Reatard.
As they say: Music to fuck your space sluts to. Yep. That about sums it up. Kids...stay on Space Drugs.
(Self-released - 2013)
