MY DISCO - CANCER (2006)

I posted some My Disco not too long ago, and meant to post more. So here ya go. This is their first full length. Love these guys. More angular, Shellac/Big Black/Albini sounding racket. Enjoy.
I'm gonna go get a drink now.

THE DRUB - 07 DEMO - STRUCTURE/DISCARD (2010)

PSYCH-OPTIC HATE MOD!
Dirgy, scuzz-rock from Minneapois' The Drub. Just to uglify your day. Uglier than your buddy's cousin who lives in the coach-house way back and up the hill on the property. The one that all the kids are scared to go near. You know the one. You sometimes get a glimpse of her looking out the window with hair covering most of her face. Brrrr. Chills just thinking about it.

Anywho, these are badass demo songs that are supposed to come out on something eventually. Haven't heard any updates, but as soon as I do, you will too....And don't go near that house at night.

NERVOUS - NERVOUS (2013)

OK. Back to our regualrily scheduled program.

Nervous rock the hell out from San Francisco, and channel 90s grunge noise punk type schtuff. Unhinged, deranged, chaotic, and sometimes catchy, this record will trash, smash and shake you. 10 tracks of glue sniffing, pissing your pants, firecrackers up the nostrils, raw and ugly, rawk and rowl.

YANKED!!

Well you may or may not have noticed, but a few posts ago I posted the first Feedtime record. Well, the post and link were both pulled down because of copyright infringement, saying I violated the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act.)

That's fine. Whatever. I do this blog purely to promote bands I like and want to expose them to others. I state quite clearly that if anyone wishes a link removed for whatever reason, that I would happily do so, and I have. Also, I don't make any money off of this site. If anything, I spend more money, purchasing music from the bands to share on this site.

So the link being pulled down doesn't bother me, but the way it was done pisses me off. A simple email or request would've been a polite way to go about it, not to mention at least the post would still be there for people to find. (Unless they really don't want anyone to see or find them at all). And now I have to write this post, telling you, the fine, awesome people who visit this blog, about this mess.

So, I was gonna post more Feedtime, but I guess I wont now. I guess you good people should grab the other Feedtime now, before it gets yanked as well.

The good thing about all this is...hey my blog is popular and visited enough for people to notice. Woo hoo!

Thanks friends. The music will continue.

SHELLAC - LIVE IN TOKYO (1994)

First full length recording from Shellac, recorded live in 1993. These songs all come from their first 2 7"s and eventually their first proper LP, At Action Park. Overall this sounds fuckin' great for a live recording. If yer a fan (which, duh, you're at this blog so you probably are) then you'll be wanting this in your greasy little hands pronto.

THE FITT - THE FITT IS DEAD (2012)

Pittsburgh noise rock / hardcore fellers The Fitt have been kickin' around since 2005. This is a release of leftovers tracks and are un-mastered. If you buy the LP you get the mastered versions, which is fair I'd say. But these versions stand up pretty well, and I hope the mastered versions don't get too 'cleaned up'. Crunchy like my afternoon snack of rocks and glass.

BODYFATHER / MTN ISL SPLIT 7" (2014)

3 songs, 2 bands and 1 helluva split single. 2 noise generators from Atlanta, Bodyfather give us 2 shorter blasts that tear you up like your uncle Billy's new weed-wacker, while MTN ISL contributes one longer 5+ rough and gruff smashter blaster. Music for a hot summer night in the garage to drown out the neighbors pool party.

MY DISCO - COLLAPSE OF AN ERRATIC LUNG / LANGUAGE OF NUMBERS (2005)

Really awesome math rock/noise rock from dudes outta Australia. These guys did a split with Young Widows a few years back. If you like off-kiltered, angular shit, this is for you.
Fans of Shellac will want this faster than a plastic Spock costume at a Sci-Fi convention sale.
This is a compilation of  2 EPs.
Songs 1-5 are from Language Of Numbers EP
Songs 6-8 are from Collapse Of An Erratic Lung 7''

BARDUS - SOLUS (2013)

Driving and crushing, head to the floor noise sludge from 3 piece Bardus. They have that Kowloon Walled City, Fight Amp, Ladder Devils thing going on. Guess that makes sense since they drink the same Philly water (and booze) as Fight Ampsters and the Ladder Devilers.

DOUBLE BOAR - WRONG / FRICTION CIRCUS 7" (1994)

Great 90s noise rock from Wisconsin's Double Boar. Since they were from Beer-sconsin, they have a bit of a Killdozer vibe. But not so much the backwoods part, but more dirty, trashy alley behind the brewery and cheese factory part. Pairs well with an Old Milwaukee in a can. Gulp!

THIN PRIVILEGE - THIN PRIVILEGE (2014)

Ok, on my 3rd listen today, and this record smokes!!
Thin Privilege is a distorted two-bass driven noise rock assault from the UK.
Chaotic vocals ranging from a Sex Pistols to a Pissed Jeans style, and mixed perfectly without overpowering the music. And nothing straight forward about the thumping, pummeling and thick fuzzed out and feedback drenched chunks of noise erupting behind. Every song crunches thru different speeds and structures to keep your ears and head more twisted and blown than a David Cronenberg film. Keep watch on these guys.

JJ PARADISE PLAYERS CLUB - PLAYERS CLUB EP (2001)

Ugly grueling super-group of sorts. Featuring members of Glazed Baby, Shiner, Unsane, and Die 116.

IRK - BREAD AND HONEY EP (2014)

Heavy. Check.
Noisy. Check.
Sludgy. Check.
Head and chest vibrating. Check and Check.
Irk is noise rock goodness from Leeds, West Yorkshire. A 3 piece shredding out 3 songs here. They definitely build castles in the same sandbox as Ken Mode, Baptists, These Arms are Snakes, or Daughters.
As one of their songs says...you're welcome.

NO ANCHOR WITH HAZE XXL - S/T EP (2014)

I'm pretty sure no introduction is needed, but...'thee' head honcho over at Amrep, Thomas 'Haze' Hazelmyer or maybe Mr. XXL to you and I, has been a very busy fellow. Not only continuing to put out quality noise rawk for our salivating ears, and listening pleasures, but he keeps our eyes and brains shocked and stimulated as well with often dark and disturbing, mostly humorous, and always cool-ass art for these releases as well.

So he took a break from the Melvins onslaught of records, clowns and pigs, to not only release the music and do, count 'em, 2 versions of the art for this limited 10" EP (c'mon, it's frickin' Popeye), he also plays on it as well.
What have You accomplished lately?
He teams up with Aussie noise-mongers No Anchor, to destroy you 3 different times to Sunday with 3 bludgeoning, bombastic blasts that grinds your greasy, grimey heads into goop. More please. Oi Oi!

KOWLOON WALLED CITY - CONTAINER SHIPS (2012)

GREYS - IF ANYTHING (2014)

If Anything, the first full-length by Toronto noisemakers Greys, is the quartets own warped version of a pop record; fast-and-loud punk rock and walls of discordant noise, held together at the seams by an acute sense of melody. Each song exists in its own space and represents different aspects of the things we like about noisy, dissonant music, but instead of being built solely around riffs, they were built with hooks in mind, too.

The 35-minute LP still plenty rough around the edges, as drum and bass pummel the listener with syncopated rhythms played at break-neck speeds, while serrated guitars go directly for the throat. Though there may be more melodies strewn about his exasperated shouts, Jiwani's lyrics express insurmountable frustrations from within.

If Anything, is a short, fulfilling listen. It satisfies the primal urges one derives from a punk record, but rewards repeated listens with subtle, shoegaze-y layers of guitar and self-consciously buried harmonies. That extension is what separates Greys from other bands of their ilk; they respect and adhere to the foundations of noise rock while willfully blurring and challenging its boundaries. - Taken and edited from the Greys page.

VAZ - DYING TO MEET YOU (2003)

More schtuff from the request line, er...comments section. It's a rowdy bunch in that section by the way.
And I like to think that people in the comments section dress like the guys on the cover. Yes?
I would if I had an outfit like that.

THE POWDER ROOM - CURTAINS (2014)

It's curtains for you Rocky! Curtains!

Solid, rockin sludge noise muck from The Powder Room, a 3 piece outta Athens, Ga. They get a little hardcore sometimes. A little indie rock sometimes. And alot o' abrassive noise all the time.
I don't know what's the deal, with all the bands lately that have a sorta Young Widows thing going on, but me likes it.
And they have a band member named Bubba, so how can you go wrong with that?
