COWS - CUNNING STUNTS (1992) & PEACETIKA (1991)
As promised, more Cows. This is a double album post (duh) with 2 of their early 90s albums. For me I feel the Cows were really hitting their stride and high point during these albums. Great songs, both writing and structures. Take a minute or near 70 to go back and re-visit these...funny I'm about to say this....classic Cows records.

SUPER LUXURY - TEN SOLID YEARS OF APPLAUSE (2015)
So really all you need to know from UKs Super Luxury to get you to pay attention, is…that they have one of the best album covers. I mean c’mon, Hall and Oats. You can’t get any better than that. Also, you need to know they have a song about Ian Mackaye making so much money that he has a solid gold car. So there's that.
Those facts, mixed with a commotion that sounds like The Jesus Lizard, Karp, and AC/DC having a conniption fit in a garbage dumpster full of reciprocating saws, should be enough to get the job done.
See... got your attention right? Now get it.

LABEL SPOTLIGHT - RADIO IS DOWN... (2000s)
So way back in the day…labels were more consistent with their sound and releases…you knew pretty much exactly what you were getting from labels like Amrep, Touch and Go, Sub Pop (early years), or even Epitaph. Nowadays, labels carry varieties of different types of bands, so its not always easy to know if something is gonna float your boat.
Radio is Down is consistent. Even though the label is somewhat dormant, you can still pick up goodies from 'em. And I suggest you do. I've posted kickass stuff already from Replicator and Ex Wives, but thought I'd throw a few more titles your way. Most of it of the loud and noisy variety that you know and love here.
Bhava, Destro and Quarterhorse are on the chest thumping, louder than punk side. Okker gets a little indie rock, and Big Box fits into the noisy punk pit. All great albums. And like I said, stop by and buy some shit from them.

COWS - DADDY HAS A TAIL (1989)
Gonna keep the Cows weirdness flowing. Just to ruin your fucking day.
And in honor of their return, I'm gonna keep the Cows posts comin' for the next few days/posts, with a bunch of their records...just for your displeasure.
Daddy Has a Tail...their 2nd full length album. Yep.

DUSTDEVILS - IS BIG LEGGY EP (1989)
Let's stick with the late 80's schtuff.
I've been on a Dustdevils kick, so you get to be as well.
Hopefully you're ok with that. C'mon, what else do you have to do?
This their 3rd single. A 4-song, Sonic Youth infused, noise-a-thon.

COWS - TAINT PLURIBUS TAINT UNUM (1987)
Alright you weirdos!! So anybody that gives a shit about music like what you find here on this blog, has no doubt heard the news by now. And that being... the Cows (or Cowz) are playing the Amrep Bash 15 show this summer.
So of course I was like... well, better get more Cows up here pronto.
I knew I had some Cows stuff posted here, but I realized only mostly singles, and only 1 full length.
So let's get that fixed right away. And why not start at the beginning.
This is their first album released back in '87 on Treehouse Records. 12 weirdo-goofball-noise numbers for ya. You know 'em. You love 'em.

CITY OF CATERPILLAR - CITY OF CATERPILLAR (2002)
City of Caterpillar was a short-lived post-hardcore/mathy/noisy outfit from Richmond, VA.
They were around from 2000-2003.
They had some members that were in pg. 99, and Darkest Hour too.
This is their only full length.
This album has 7 songs...
...and they go loud / quiet / loud...or chaotic spazzing out to slower, indie intricacies.
Its ugly and its pretty.
A few of the songs getting up in to the 8 and 9 min mark. Whoa!
Yeap epic is the fucking word.
If you're into Orchid, Unwound, His Hero is Gone, Refused...you'll like. Ok then?

FEEDTIME - FLATIRON / STICK UP JACK 7" (2015)
This is the brand new 2-song single from Australia's feedtime.
More grungy, dirge rock for ya from these old timers who can still crank it out!
The songs are short and not-so-sweet....kinda like your cousin Patty...
But that cover art...c'mon subpoop....pretty boring.
I say go back to the black band across the top look. That was classic.
At least the music still rocks.
(Sub Pop - 2015)

BUZZOV•EN - UNWILLING TO EXPLAIN (1994)
Still taking a shaky, uneasy, dark, crusty, and sludgy ride back down the noise hole from the other day. This EP fits right next to the old Neurosis for me. And I was always a sucker for heavy music with movie samples. (C'mon, De Niro and that scene from Cape Fear...amazing!!)
Buzzov-en of course got heavier and more cleanly produced later, which is fine. I liked their newer stuff too. And most of these songs got the re-do treatment. But for me these early recordings have a dirty, power-packed crunch that give the ultimate head-fuck-spin, missing in the new recordings.
4 songs here. I realize the the CD version has the 'Wound' 7" included, but this is the copy I have. So sorry to the 'complete-ists' out there...
...you thought you were gonna get away from 'ol Satan did ya?
