BAXTER STOCKMAN - PUNTER (2013)

"The guitar parts crawl and lurk, reminiscent of the Jesus Lizard or some of the snakier, more aggro moments presented by bands like Crain, Rodan or the Shipping News while anchorage is provided by glutinous lumps of bass gloop that slide and slump ominously in the background"
- Collective zine review

So I didn't realize Baxter Stockman was a evil scientist from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, until I got some weird Google search results. I thought maybe it was the nerdy kid who lived next door who was always tinkering on those weird experiments at 3 am. Hey what's that green glow coming from the basement, and will I grow an extra eyeball out of my shoulder from it?

So this here record is on the Kult of Nihilow label from Finland, which has put out some killer releases by noise mongrels Throat and Tile. So if you like those bands, chances are pretty good you'll dig this too.
