WHITE SPOT - FATHER SONGS (2015)

So I admit, the first time I listened to this 2nd album by Mansura, Louisiana's White Spot I was like, yeah its ok. Maybe cuz I was preoccupied with my animal cadaver stuffing hobby on the weekend. The formaldehyde really gets to you.
Anyway, with a fuzzy head and rubber gloves, I threw it on again. And when the 4th song, 'Counting Steps' came on, I was like, damn this is totally a Steel Pole Bath Tub sounding song. Now the rest of the album doesn't sound like the Steel Pole fellers per se, although the songs vary from experimental and trudging like Steel Pole, to hardcore/noise pounding, similar to KEN mode or Dillinger Escape Plan with almost metal vocals at times. Crrrush!
